Gainesville Area List of Things Do
Again, the list of things to do in this weekend is looking quite promising for the Gainesville area as it is packed with fun things to do. Friday has so much to do, unlike previous weeks when I was challenged to compile a list for that day. Here are a few of the events, Baseball – Gators vs South Carolina, Tioga Movie Night, Spring Band Jam and Gators Track & Field Tom Jones Memorial Invitational. There are a couple Festivals, a Spring, Arts Festival at Santa Fe and the other is a Food Truck Fest in Starke. There is also a Florida Gators Game Orange & Blue, a Flea Market in Waldo Car Show and Swap Meet, Gainesville Roller Derby: Swamp City Sirens vs Millhopper Devils, Vegan Street Party and Golf Wars are just a few of the 18 events on Saturday. On Sunday the list isn’t that long there is The Cash Box Kings w/ Dr. Jules’ Cool Blues, Gainesville Car & Coffee, Pickles in Paradise, Pickling Bingo & Brunch and Yappy Hour. What event are you interested in?

This Week’s Mortgage Rate
The rate has increased by .06% this week. Freddie Mac’s report emphasizes a remarkable stabilization, with inflation holding steady at a mere a 3.3% in comparison to June of 2022 when it was recorded at 9%. Surprisingly, despite worries about a recession for the past year, the market seems to be holding its own, which is good news for investors and homeowners alike. The unproven outcome to date, from earlier recession forecasts unveils the resilience of the market, defying expectations and suggesting a more optimistic trajectory ahead.
FL Trivia Game
What attraction is the newest in the Orlando area as of May, 2001?
The Answer
This attraction is registered as a non-profit organization in the state of FL. Owned by the Trinity Broadcasting Network-TBN, the Holy Land Experience-HLE is a non-denominational Christian Museum, replicating the old Jerusalem. HLE hosts church services, Bible Study and live cooking demonstrations weekly. My daughter when she was eight enjoyed the children’s park that entertains through exhibits, wilderness rock climbing, theater and craft center. She even participated in the theater and won the prize. I will be looking for that video recording because it was an awesome experience, even walking into the tomb of Jesus was nostalgic. If you haven’t been there, I encourage you to visit.
