This Week's Mortgage Report

This Week's Mortgage Rate 32124

Unfortunately, as the Spring Season begins and buyers are actively buying, the mortgage rates have begun to increase and is said to continue to increase over the summer, says Freddie Mac.  Who is also saying that inventory has increased including new construction homes. What I gathered from Freddie Mac, is Home Builders are gambling with the thought that pent up demand after the inventory shortage by buyers as well as the likelihood that rates will decrease later this year, is encouraging for home builders to produce homes.

What city is located on the most-southern tip of Florida and is and is only 90 miles from Cuba?

The Answer

Did you know this city is 130 miles from Miami known as the Conch Republic. A seven-mile bridge was created to connect these cities. Famous people like Earnest Hemingway and Jimmy Buffet have had homes there. Has any of my clues helped yet? Well don’t forget some Key Limes pies next time you visit. As a vacation destination and a bucket list check mark, many visitors enjoy their time in Key West and also take that selfie at the country’s most southern point. Settlers from Cuba made their stop at Key West and later in 1800s they helped Key West become the Cigar Manufacturing Capital of the world and made 150 cigar factories. These factory workers that comprised of mainly Cubans were are to produce 100 million hand-rolled cigars yearly. Key West is said to be beautiful and worth taking a trip, from its beautiful beaches, to its museums, theatres and culture, so consider making Key West one of your vacation destinations.

Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure by Realtor.com

What is a Dead in Lieu of Foreclosure? An Option for When You Default on Your Mortgage

Please click the link above to read the full Article

“Homeowners who decide not to fight to keep their homes or to stave off foreclosure can instead pursue a deed in lieu of foreclosure. A deed is essentially a legal and binding document that transfers the title from the homeowners to the bank that holds the mortgage.

This process means signing over any legal right to your home, and handing over both the deed and the keys to the house. In exchange, the lender agrees to immediately release the borrowers from their mortgage obligations. Lenders tend to be open to this option. After all, when a homeowner comes to a bank and says, “Take my house, I know I can’t pay,” a lender is saving the costs that come with a traditional foreclosure process”.
